2022 marked the 20 year Anniversary of JM Architects. JMA is however the latest incarnation of the original well known & respected practice of post war architect and planner Percy Johnson Marshall. The practice was therefore simultaneously 20 and 60 years old respectively. In honour of this achievement the practice decided to celebrate with a commemorative exhibition at their offices at 64 Queen Street Edinburgh. Working in partnership with Cubit Design, The Port Creative was tasked with creating all the exhibition graphics, a permanent timeline display for the office foyer and directional signage. A grid system was developed to feature the Practice’s work and printed onto 5mm eco boards. One A1 landscape and one A0 portrait board were butted together to form a ‘side’ and then fixed to a simple exhibition A frame display. The exhibition was hailed a success and subsequently toured JMA’s Glasgow, Manchester and London offices with the graphics and layout adjusted for each particular location.
